Skarbi is designed to work locally before you create an account. This policy explains what information is handled when you use the Skarbi app, share a wishlist, reserve a gift, subscribe to Skarbi Pro, visit our website, or contact us.
Information we collect
Information stored on your device
You can collect gift ideas and create wishlists without an account or network connection. Before you sign in or share, this content—including names you enter, notes, links, and photos—is stored locally on your device.
Account and synced content
If you choose to sign in to share or sync, we receive an account identifier from Sign in with Apple or Google and any profile information that provider makes available to us. We process the wishlist content you choose to sync or share, such as people or spaces, gift ideas, notes, links, photos, wishlist details, and collaboration information.
Shared wishlists and reservations
A shared wishlist is available to anyone with its public link. Guests can reserve items without creating an account. Skarbi records the reservation state needed to prevent duplicate gifts, but does not ask a guest to identify themselves to the wishlist owner.
Subscriptions
Purchases are processed by Apple. We receive subscription status, product, transaction, and entitlement information needed to provide Skarbi Pro and customer support. We do not receive your full payment-card details.
Usage, diagnostics, and communications
We may collect app interactions, device and app information, approximate network information, and crash or diagnostic details to operate, secure, and improve Skarbi. If you contact us or join the waitlist, we process the information you send, such as your email address and message.
How we use information
- Provide local gift planning, account sync, collaboration, sharing, and anonymous reservations.
- Verify and manage Skarbi Pro subscriptions.
- Maintain security, prevent abuse, troubleshoot problems, and improve reliability.
- Understand product usage and improve features and usability.
- Respond to support requests and send service-related communications.
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.
We do not sell personal information. We do not use Skarbi data for third-party advertising, and we do not track you across other companies’ apps or websites for advertising purposes.
When information is shared
We share information only as needed to operate Skarbi, at your direction, or as required by law. Service providers may include cloud hosting and storage, authentication providers, Apple for purchases, RevenueCat for subscription management, PostHog for product analytics, Sentry for diagnostics, and email delivery providers. They process information for the services they provide to us.
Content is also shared when you deliberately publish a wishlist or invite a collaborator. Anyone with a public wishlist link may view that wishlist, so avoid including sensitive information in shared content.
We may disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect rights and safety, investigate abuse, or complete a merger, financing, acquisition, or sale of assets subject to appropriate protections.
Data retention
Local-only content remains on your device until you delete it or remove the app, subject to your device backups. Synced account and wishlist information is retained while your account is active and for a limited period afterward when needed for recovery, security, legal compliance, or dispute resolution. Diagnostic and analytics information is retained according to operational need and provider settings.
Public links may continue to work until you stop sharing or delete the associated wishlist. Deleting your account is intended to remove account-backed content from active systems, subject to short-lived backups and information we must retain for legal or security reasons.
Your choices and rights
- Use Skarbi locally without creating an account.
- Choose which wishlist to share and stop sharing it.
- Review, edit, export, or delete your content using available app controls.
- Manage or cancel your subscription through your Apple account settings.
- Request access, correction, deletion, or a copy of account information by contacting us.
Depending on where you live, additional privacy rights may apply. We may need to verify your request. You may also have the right to contact your local privacy or data-protection authority.
Security and international processing
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. No storage or transmission method is completely secure. Skarbi and its providers may process information in countries other than your own, where privacy laws may differ.
Children
Skarbi is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. Adults should avoid entering sensitive information about children into shared wishlists. Contact us if you believe a child has provided personal information directly to us.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as Skarbi changes. We will post the revised policy here and update the date above. If a change is material, we will provide additional notice when appropriate.
